I never thought I'd be publicising so much about ethical issues concerning sex and gender but there seem to be so many. Here's another story about disparaging remarks made by Sky Sports presenters about a female line-judge and the offside rule.
One of the ESPN people in the broadcast booth, Steve McManaman, made a comment about her qualifications as well after she rightly didn't call offsides, though it wasn't in the same ballpark as the Skysports ones. The replay showed how clearly right she was, and this was then emphasized by Ian Darke for the US audience on ESPN.
